Historically fabric architecture has required the design form
to have double curvature (i.e. anticlastic) to create a stable
structure. TEXO now allows designers the ability to
work with textiles in a flat form, and removes the need for
complicated tensioning and clamping systems.
TEXO creates a "Biaxial"
stressed modular textile panel that is supported by an aluminum
extrusion system.

TEXO
is the interface between the textile and the extruded
aluminum support frame.
TEXO is simply a elastomer edge detail that allows
the textile panel to extend and to absorb loads, and then
return to its original condition.
TEXO is simple in its concept, incredible in its
versatility.
TEXO is a real alternative to polycarbonates /
acrylics, glass, composites, metals and many other materials,
allowing architects and designers to use the benefits
that technical textiles can offer. Choose the specification
of the fabric that meets the brief and then use the TEXO
system to create a building system. Thermal, Acoustic,
Light, Colour, Graphic, Aesthetic what's the brief? |
|
Lightweight, modular design, light transmissions
from opaque to 90%, virtually maintenance free, versatile
seamless sheet size, and easy fix.
|

Example of opening panels, and the use of mesh fabric to shade
the facade and windows, but still allowing you to look out!
TEXO has now successfully been tested and used in the
following applications:-
Cladding external/internal
Roofs, single skin and insulated
Canopies and walkway systems
Shade systems
Walls external and internal
Ceilings
Signage system
Exhibitions
What could you use TEXO for?
TEXO makes it possible to design
modular elements, governed only by the dimensions of the extrusion
system, and the vast array of technical and architectural
textiles available today (i.e. PTFE coated glass, Silicone
coated glass, PVC coated Polyesters, etc, etc). What's the
design brief? TEXO can provide a solution! TEXO could be interfaced
with other materials and fixed using specified systems, allowing
TEXO to be integrated into already established products, and
systems!
